COVID-19 Update
We, the members of the Air Canada 401 Bike Challenge Committee, would like to express our shared concern about the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. Like all of you, we have been monitoring its evolving global impact, as well as its potential impact on our event.
While we have considered multiple options, on March 24th, the organizing committee decided that the 16th edition of the 401 Bike Challenge will still go on as planned from August 19, 2020 to August 21, 2020.
However, the swiftly evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic may eventually cause us to reschedule or even cancel the event altogether, as the health and safety of our participants and volunteers is our utmost priority. Should the event be cancelled, all registration fees will be reimbursed. In contrast, donations to a participant’s 2020 ride will not be reimbursed and will go directly to the hospitals we support as scheduled. Participants who choose to register for the 2021 ride will have the amount they raised credited to their 2021 fundraising commitment.
Despite these uncertain times, we encourage you to join this cause. We believe our mission to help improve the care and treatment of children battling cancer, as well as to support their families, is more important than ever.
Stay safe and healthy.
